On Saturday, December 6th, the Sugar Bear Foundation, together with Educational Sponsor and long-time supporter RF-Lambda, proudly hosted our cherished Holiday Open House in San Diego, California. This yearly gathering brings together Gold Star and surviving military families for an afternoon filled with comfort, community, and holiday joy.
Families enjoyed a variety of festive activities, including:
- Delicious food & seasonal treats
- Holiday crafts and hands-on activity stations
- A fun photo booth to capture new memories
- Opportunities to learn about Sugar Bear's year-round support programs
"This event is incredibly meaningful to us," said Jennifer Carazo, Founder of the Sugar Bear Foundation and surviving military spouse. "It is a day where families can come together, honor their loved ones, and feel the continued support of the community standing beside them."
Rachelle Ferrer, Global Director at RF-Lambda, shared, "RF-Lambda is honored to stand alongside the Sugar Bear Foundation and support these remarkable families who deserve our greatest respect and care."
Honoring Gold Star Strength & Resilience
The Holiday Open House serves as a heartfelt tribute to the courage and resilience of families who have lost a military hero. The Sugar Bear Foundation remains committed to uplifting these spouses and children through educational support, mentorship programs, mental wellness resources, and career development opportunities.
We are deeply grateful to RF-Lambda for their continued partnership and commitment to our mission. Together, we are ensuring that every Gold Star family is reminded of the love, strength, and community that surround them-not only during the holidays, but every day of the year.
